To unsubscribe click here Featured Today NAACP Travel Alert Signals 'Open Hostility' in Florida for Black Americans (FamilyConservationPAC.com) – The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (N.A.A.C.P.) on Saturday issued a travel warning for Florida to African Americans. The warning was sent on Saturday and "comes in direct response to Governor Ron DeSantis' [R-FL] aggressive attempts to erase Black history and to restrict diversity, equity, and inclusion programs in Florida schools." According to the group, black visitors to the Sunshine State are advised to be on the lookout for "open hostility" directed at persons of color. The group said DeSantis had signed multiple "anti-civil rights" laws into law in the letter. The Stop W.O.K.E. Act, which forbids instructors from introducing critical race theory in K–12 classrooms, was signed by the governor of Florida. Additionally, it would outlaw the hiring of instructors in critical race theory by colleges and schools. DeSantis also prohibited teaching an A.P. African American Studies course in public schools. According to reports, some voters even believe that 80-year-old Joe Biden should be impeached because of the way he has handled his duties as president. Even before he makes a single announcement asking American voters to support him in his bid to win back the White House, the results, according to the AP, reveal Biden is up against severe headwinds.
