Roger Marshall (R-KS) presented legislation on Wednesday that would make it illegal to fly any flag but the American one over public facilities. The law, known as the One Flag for All Act, would virtually forbid any federal building from draping or flying any flag other than the American flag. The LGBTQ Pride flag was flown prominently at the White House by President Joe Biden, which spurred discussion about whether it was against U.S. flag regulations. Hence, the bill. The nation of a visiting diplomat, the state flags of a member of Congress, and military flags are among the exclusions to Marshall's law.
