Pence On Trump Indictment: 'Should Never Be President'

(FamilyConservationPAC.com) – In his response to the most recent indictment of former President Donald Trump by special counsel Jack Smith, former Vice President Mike Pence claimed that President Trump had "demanded [he] choose between [him] and the Constitution."

"Today's indictment serves as an important reminder: anyone who puts himself over the Constitution should never be the President of the United States," Mr. Pence said in his statement.

"I chose the Constitution and I always will," he declared.

Like Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, whose comments about Mr. Trump have drawn fire from some conservatives for their lack of enthusiasm, Mr. Pence said he hadn't read the indictment.
