(FamilyConservationPAC.com) – After being "crucified" by her leftist colleagues for choosing to support school choice, a Georgia state legislator who had previously been a Democrat declared that she was switching parties.

She said the Democrat Party has "gotten away with using and abusing the black community."

Mesha Mainor, a state representative for Georgia's District 56, officially announced on Tuesday that she is changing her party affiliation from Democrat to Republican due to a tense working relationship with her colleagues.

Mainor said, "…I decided to leave the Democrat Party today." She added that this wasn't a political choice for me because I represent a blue district in the city of Atlanta. She claimed in a social media post that it was a MORAL one.
