| (FamilyConservationPAC.com) – The U.S. Department of Education said it would "begin notifying more than 804,000 borrowers that their combined federal student loan balances of $39 billion will be automatically discharged in the coming weeks," according to a statement released on Friday. The U.S. Secretary of Education, Miguel Cardona, said, "for far too long, borrowers fell through the cracks of a broken system that failed to keep accurate track of their progress towards forgiveness." The Biden-Harris administration announced today that additional 804,000 borrowers will receive $39 billion in debt relief as part of another historic move to remedy these wrongs. "As we have done for public workers, students who were defrauded by their universities, and borrowers with permanent impairments, including veterans, we are making sure that everyone receives the forgiveness they deserve by correcting prior administrative errors," Cardona continued.
