State Senator Mike Kennedy's door was defaced with a crimson spray-painted message that said "Fash" (an acronym for Fascist) and "These trannies bash back." On Facebook, Kennedy made the vandalism public. "Let me be clear: you will fail in your attempts to stop me from standing up for what is right by using violence, vandalism, or intimidation," he wrote on a Facebook post. "I won't let your cowardly behavior deter me." "I was the target of recent damage at my family's house and the values that our state is founded on. We won't allow violence and fear to determine our future." In a statement, Kennedy urged Utahns to "stand up and push back against radicals who seek to push their agenda in our state." "I am more determined than ever to work with the good people of Utah to make our state a better place for all, especially for our children, and I won't back down," he declared.
